Partnering with co-chairman Ted Demme, JOEL STILLERMAN started Spanky Pictures in 1995. The pair have developed and produced several motion pictures and television projects.
Stillerman has produced Monument Ave. With Denis Leary and Billy Crudup; Rounders with Matt Damon, Edward Norton and John Malkovich and directed by John Dahl; A Lesson Before Dying, which starred Don Cheadle and Cicely Tyson and won an Emmy for Outstanding Made for Television Movie.
As vice president of production, Stillerman was responsible for much of the programming production on the channel. He executive produced MTV Unplugged, The MTV Video Music Awards, The MTV Movie Awards and numerous other projects including MTV Sports (Emmy Award) and the MTV Rock and Roll Inaugural Ball.
